WhatsApp Template Category changed from Utility to Marketing -Solution

MSG91 do not promote creating marketing message templates under the Utility category.
Kindly follow Meta’s official guidelines for creating WhatsApp templates:

In case you believe you've created the template according to Meta’s Utility guidelines, but it still got classified as a Marketing template, please first review the official guidelines here:

If you're unsure, we can help review your template.
Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to your Meta business account: https://business.facebook.com/

  2. Click on the Business Setting

  3. Click on the WhatsApp Accounts

  4. Click on the Manage Templates

You can see the notification of the template recategorized (please refer to the below image)

If you do not see such option then you have to raise the Direct Support Ticket on Meta : https://www.facebook.com/business/help/182669425521252

  1. Just click on the “Review category updates in Business Support Home” as shown in the image.

You will be redirected to this account activity page:

  1. Select the template that you want to review, and click on the Blue button of

Request Review”.

There will be a notification of “Successfully submitted appeal!”.

You can wait till 48 hours, and check the template.

In case the template is not changed, then you have to raise the Direct Support Ticket on Meta : https://www.facebook.com/business/help/182669425521252
